ALPHA Award
Each year 10 finalists are selected to present their graduate work at the joint ALPHA Award show at Copenhagen Fashion Week. Awarded designers receive mentorships, internships, study trips and support to produce a commercial collection. We also offer a year-long residency in the ALPHA Studio in Copenhagen. Designers are selected by director Ane Lynge-Jorlén and an international panel of industry experts.

ALPHA Award is for BA and MA graduates from invited Nordic design schools. The annual Call for Applications is circulated to graduates of the following schools:

Aalto University, School of Arts, Design and Architecture - Finland
Beckmans College of Design - Sweden
Iceland University of the Arts - Iceland
Kolding School of Design - Denmark
Oslo National Academy of the Arts - Norway
Royal Danish Academy, School of Design - Denmark
The Swedish School of Textiles - Sweden

Applications are handled digitally by Eyes on Talents.

2024 Prizes

Browns Fashion Collaboration
One designer will be selected by Browns to create a new collection to launch exclusively on Brownsfashion.com.

The Row Internship
One designer will be selected by The Row for a paid internship at their Paris studio.

1 Granary Mentorship
One designer will receive one year of mentoring by founder Olya Kuryshchuk.

2024 Exhibition
A selection of designers will be featured in an exhibition to celebrate new Nordic fashion talent – a collaboration between ALPHA and the The National Museum, Oslo, Norway.

ALPHA Award
The winner will receive 50.000 DKK along with a study trip to UEDA College of Fashion in Osaka and a unique trophy created by artist Karl Monies.

All finalists will receive a profile on Eyes on Talents, an online platform that connects talents with established designers and brands.
