’Step Into My Office!’

“The collection started as a project looking back at childhood memories. Growing up with a father who worked in the local bank, I wanted to create my own office and fill it with interesting characters based on 80s films set in office spaces and archetypical clothes from the 90s casual wear. ‘Casual Friday’ made the perfect theme for this collection, mixing 90s ‘boring’ casual wear with the 80s business professional. Real people and garments were photographed and then distorted in Photoshop. These images were transfer-printed on transparent monofilament polyester so that you get into character when putting them on, showing parts of the real person and garments underneath. As a result, 2D flatness is turned into a 3D shape.”
